Mike Rom joined Capron and Avgerinos in 1993. He specializes in representing injured workers in front of the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission and is committed to educating his clients about their rights.

Case in Point

Mike once represented a convenience store security guard who broke his leg after being thrown to the ground during an attack by a would-be robber. His employer did not have insurance and attempted to claim the security guard had not been injured on the job. The company then hired a former president of the Chicago Bar Association to represent it all the way to the Appellate Court of Illinois. Mike won full benefits for his client, despite an exhausting and drawn-out defense. Mike is proud of his defense of a man who was intimidated by the system and didn’t know what course of action to take.
